What was he thinking? They could have thrown 2 more passes after the completion. That may have given Lincoln a kick he could handle. Why would you try a run and then stand and watch 20 seconds tick away? You do that when you have a kicker. I feel sorry for the rest of the team. They did everything else right. Kiffin gave the game away. We should give him away.

Its time for kiffen to go. We should have never gotten rid of Fulmer. With him we could at least get a win in the sec. We are being coached and playing like the acc. I blame kiffen lets see him goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bye bye.

You know how fanatical gator fans are now that they are on top? The excitement, the energy, and the support that appeared to the University of Florida once Tim Tebow came along and they won a national championship or two? Well that's what it's like to be a Tennessee fan ALL the time. Come hell or high water, a W or a loss, our blood never stops bleeding orange, and our support and passion for the University of Tennessee never waivers. i really don't want to get to excited yet. we still won't know what kind of coaching staff or team we have until they start playing. all the players that have left concern me but maybe that was good thing and i don't want to get too up or down. all of this would not be an issue if trooper taylor had been given the oc job, not that i think he was more qualified than anyone else but no radical changes would have been made and he is a players coach and that might have gotten up a couple of wins mor…

wish NS had continued putting in old game photos from Cafego to 1970's--we don't see near enough--brings back vivid memories of my first UT game (Ole Miss in 1962)---Tennessean has put in photos from old 1950's and 60's games from vandy--it just stirs the memories from those eras with single bar face masks and actual dirt on uni's.--good to see old legends in play again

Yes , I have been spoiled as a Volunteer fan. My first year following the VOLS was the 1997 season and we drove down to Georgia Dome and watched them win the SEC Championship game. It was a great atmosphere and a close game. The next season was highlighted by a dramatic victory over the Gators and I to joined several thousand happy fans and rushed on to field. Then a few months later we were at Tempe and watched them beat FSU to win the first BCS championship game. The seasons 1999-2001 were goo…

I have been a Vol fan for a long time and unless age has effected my memory, it seems expectations are higher as well as questions.
The saying good-bye to a coach who has done so much for UT in a manner some thought unbecoming of the University of Tennessee.
The hoopla surrounding the new head coach and staff that was assembled with highly skilled and talented people.
A recruiting process that resembled a circus at times and in the end produced results that surprised everyone except…

Okay, I just got done watching the Vols play MSU for the SEC Championship. What a load of crap!!! Especially in the final 10 seconds! First of all, why wasn't the timeout allowed for instead of the 5-second call? And how did Chism foul without even touching him??? It's all just a load of crap. I'm not blaming the officiating entirely. We definitely could've played a lot better. But it DID have a HUGE effect on the game. What is the biggest upset in sports history?
Was it Joe Namath leading the New York Jets over the Baltimore Colts 40 years ago in Super Bowl III (after guaranteeing the win)? The Colts were favored by 18. Or what about the "Miracle on Ice" with the USA men's hockey team beating the Soviet Union in the 1980 Winter Olympics? Could it be Buster Douglas, a 40-to-1 underdog, shocking Mike Tyson to win the heavyweight boxing crown?
Or could it possibly be the vindication of Al Davis,…

Fulmer should not have been fired...he made a poor decision on hiring his assistants all of them seem to be from north of tennessee..it is difficult to recriut the big strong southern guys if they do not relat to the coaches..now we need a big name southern coach with the same as assistant coaches..this has hurt our recruiting for years to come...it will take a miracle for us to recover...it has also hurt the other sports...namely womens basketball...

I've have beem blown away by the reaction to Coach Fulmers (forced) resignation. I have been most surprised by the "end of the world" attitude taken by most fans. I have been a long time proponent for a change in the head coaching job at UT. I would like say I do respect Coach Fulmer as a man and a coach and have never pulled against him. However I do feel like too many people are acting like UT football died Monday afternoon. I do feel strongly that Coach Fulmer did alot for this program and…

Well yesterday afternoon Coach Fulmer resigned, (under extreme pressure). I do feel sorry for Coach Fulmer after all he has been The University Of Tennessee Football for years. It has been his life, he has given his all to his players, his staff, his school. Did I feel like we needed a change? Yes something needed changing but I dont know if it needed to be that drastic. Most, and I do mean most universities, choose coaches. They have the final word on all hiring situations. I know that Fulmer interviewed him and he probably had a soft spot for Clawson. I also realize that he would not have reccommended Clawson for the job if the sparkle of the spread didn’t look good on paper. I know they had others in the pipeline that were interviewed and went with Clawson. I think it was a bad hire. If Mr. Hamilton is putting all the blame on CPF, I would hope he goes back t…

OK it's "some requests". And no, it's not what you think...
1) Please tell Jonathon Crompton to shut up and stop talking to the media. Now. This kids mouth is as dangerous as a hand-off at the goal line. Either goal line. He is simply making things worse.
2) Consider a media ban for yourself and Coach Clawson. Both of you are only alienating the fans with comments that indicate a lack of r…

Well Auburn was nice, probably my favorite place to visit for a good old fashioned football game. It was a really good game at that. I don't know what is really wrong with the offense, the defense played a really good game. I feel sorry for Crompton because I know the young man is not playing poorly on purpose, I just don't know what is wrong. It appears that even in warming up that he tends to throw behind his receivers, so is he thinking about everything else too much or what? Our team can not…

The defence can be on of the best in the SEC, but the weak arm tackles and shallow angles to a tackle are getting old. Ive seen junior colleges tackle better. over all they did ok but they need to work on the tackles.

Crompton couldnt hit the broad side of a barn with a canon. I think Tennessee has finally found a quarterback worse than Clausen. over throwing the ball the whole game and missing WIDE open men downfield, its time to sit the boy down and let him focus on what he does best.....get the rest of the good players water.

My favorite sports announcer of all time has to be Pat Ryan. I thought he and Mike Keith were incredible together. My least favorite is anyone that is calling a Tennessee game, football, basketball or women's basketball. It is hard to listen to an announcer when the Vols are losing and you have to hear about how great the other team is. It would be nice to have the politically incorrect vol network that could feed my homer cravings.

I would like to see UT go outside for a new coordinator. Trooper has done an excellant job with the positions he has coach but I feel does not have the over all experience for the head coordinators position. Having just returned from the Divison 1AA Championship game in Chattanooga Friday night I would like to see an offense similar to Appy State. Who could argue with there success. To All Big Orange Fans:
It's time to put our differences aside, come down out of the sports media "anti-Vol" haze and rally behind our Team. I urge each and every one of you to find a ticket, even if it's from a scalper, and come to the game. Be as loud as you can and be a part of the most historic run to the SEC Championship Game in history! We are undefeated at home this year and the Vols need our help to keep it going! The KAT shuttles are an easy way to get to the game and…

From the opening kick, to the fourth and one multiple shift that drew UT offsides, Saban outcoached the Tennessee staff so thoroughly that it almost seemed as if he was toying with the Vols. But, in all honesty I will have to say that atleast your band was pretty good. Unless you change coaches we will own you and you know it......Roll Tide!

Well we scored a offensive TD, thats a start. The strength of scedual gives ND no chance however to win in the near future. Purdue is ND's next opponent, Purdue's passing attack will light up the Irish next Saturday. I have to admit I was at work yesterday and didnt' get to watch the game, but highlights show that ND had no chance vs MSU. The Game plan for the rest of the season for the Irish should be RUN RUN RUN, only pass on 2nd down plays (PA pass), a positive 2 yard run looks better than a…

ND has to focus on running the ball this weekend to have any chance vs Michigan State. Hopfully if ND runs the ball 35-40x the game will be low scoring and give ND a chance to win by a last second FG or somthing strange like that. ND's struggles has been playcalling. The athlete's are not the problem, the coaching has done a poor job getting them ready for the games, and using the talent they have to win games. ND is young everywhere on offense, power running game is the KEY to success. If ND ca…

As my wife and I were walking back to the truck from the stands, I was completely and shamfully aware that the team I have been a fan of for the last 28 years had finally hit rock bottom with the coaching pool. What do the coaches do for the entire week before the game? Daivid Cutcliff, what were you thinking about? Short passes against florida is NOT the way to a victory.
I have supported Volunteer football for many years and now it is My belief that the money we as hard core s…

It has been my experience if you come to the swamp just kinda migrate to the orange and white colors. I have been coming here for the last 12 years and every year the "gay-tor" fans just keep getting younger and dumber with the lack of respect and the comsumption of alcohol. I am not saying that all their fans are nuts but watch out for the ones gathered in groups singing and being rude to passer-by's. The Big Orange Tailgate Tour is a great place for Vol fans to gather, but the little beer gard…

I live here oklahoma now, but I was born and raised in the Orange and White state. These sorry OU fans seem to think that they are real tough (we know better). There was a debate at work about OU ever playing The Vols, a question that I didn't have the answer to at the time. If anyone has the answer please let me know so that I can shut these "Doomer Boomers" up.

1. Went into the locker room at half with 3 time outs left ! Unacceptable. Ended game with 2 time outs left ! Unacceptable. Especially after Ainge got hit hard on the sideline which brought up a BIG 3rd and long. He got up slow and they hurried up the huddle and threw ANOTHER 3 Yd OUT ! Should have called TO, not only to give Ainge time, but also choose a much better play !
2. Punted to arguably the Best Returner in the country ! Unacceptable ! NEVER let one player beat you ! Out of bo…
